Project BUILT – Terms of Service & Donation Disclaimer
1. Acknowledgment & Donor Recognition
By making a donation to Project BUILT, you acknowledge that your contribution may be publicly recognized in our website, annual reports, social media, and other public materials. If you prefer to remain anonymous, you may opt out by contacting us at info@getbuilt.org.
2. Use of Funds & Mission Transparency
Project BUILT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting mental wellness, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention in the construction industry. Donations are used to fund mental health programs, peer support training, crisis response, and advocacy initiatives.
While we strive to allocate funds as described, all donations are unrestricted and may be used at the organization’s discretion to best further our mission.
3. Tax Deductibility & Pending 501(c)(3) Status
Project BUILT has applied for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the IRS. While we await official approval, contributions made at this time may not yet be tax-deductible.
Once our 501(c)(3) status is approved, we will provide updated receipts reflecting the tax-deductibility of your donation. Until then, please consult with a tax advisor regarding any potential tax benefits.
Project BUILT affirms that no goods or services were provided in exchange for your donation, except in cases where donor recognition tiers explicitly offer benefits (such as event tickets, merchandise, etc).
4. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of charitable contributions, all donations are final and non-refundable. However, In the event of an error in processing, please contact us at info@getbuilt.org within 30 calendar days and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
5. Event Ticket & Benefit Disclaimer (where applicable)
If your donation includes event access, recognition, or other benefits, any portion of your gift exceeding the fair market value of the benefit received may be considered tax-deductible once our 501(c)(3) status is approved.
Project BUILT may recognize donors through public acknowledgment (e.g., website, event materials). This recognition does not provide goods, services, or promotional value and does not impact the tax-deductibility of your contribution. Please consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility.
6. Consent for Communications & Privacy
By making a donation, you consent to receive emails, updates, event invitations, and impact reports from Project BUILT. You may opt out at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in emails or contacting us directly at info@getbuilt.org.
We do not sell or share donor information with third parties. All donor data is securely stored and used only for Project BUILT’s fundraising and outreach efforts.
